Meet the Principal
Kate Ward
Kate’s love for dance began when she was just two years old, and she hasn’t been without her dancing shoes since. Although she’s always enjoyed being on stage, Kate’s true passion lies in teaching and choreography. With years of experience as a lead choreographer for schools and production companies, she frequently takes on guest choreographing roles for various exciting projects. Kate’s early training was under the guidance of Vanda Morgan, where she earned ISTD and RAD certifications by the time she was 18. After studying law and child psychology at the University of Warwick, Kate realised her true heart belonged to dance. She then trained professionally at Masters Performing Arts College and the Royal Academy of Dance, qualified with the ISTD and British Ballet Association and is now involved in the Royal Academy of Dance ‘Step into Dance’ programme in partnership with the Jack Petchey Foundation. Beyond her impressive credentials, Kate’s greatest joy comes from sharing her expertise with children. She has helped countless young performers shine in dance, drama, and musical theatre productions. Despite being a busy mum of five, Kate invests wholeheartedly in each of her students, guiding them through their personal journeys and watching them grow. As a principal, she is not only a talented teacher but a warm and caring mentor who fosters a love for the arts in every child she works with.
