Meet Matty, our Operations Manager who is celebrating his first year in this role, but many years with the Razzamataz network, having joined as a work experience placement when he was just 16.
As well as being a successful franchisee of Razzamataz West Cumbria, last year Matty took on the Operations Manager role for Head Office, combining his past experience working for University of Cumbria with his extensive knowledge of the Razzamataz network. Over the past year, Matty has played a pivotal role in ensuring smooth operations across all aspects of the business, from supporting franchisees to streamlining internal processes. His deep understanding of both the franchise and the day-to-day workings of Head Office has allowed him to bring new perspectives and practical solutions to the table.
Highlights
I always love the yearly Conferences, but this year was particularly special because I was involved with all the planning and delivery along with Founder Denise and Hayley in the Business Development role. This year has been incredible because we are celebrating 25 years of Razzamataz with a brand refresh, and I’ve loved bringing to life everyone’s ideas to present a more contemporary feel that reflects our future direction.
Striking a balance
I’m sharing this role with being the Principal of Razzamataz West Cumbria and also a dad to a lively toddler! Although I’ve done a similar job before, this role is across differing departments from marketing, retail and finance and many more so that’s been a learning curve. Of course, I do a similar role as a Principal, but this is on a much larger scale with 60 schools and ambitious plans to expand in the UK and overseas in Dubai.
Little wins, big smiles
The one thing I have found most satisfying is reliving my own Razzamataz journey with others. I’m involved with new franchisees from every step of the way; from their first Discovery Den through to training, onboarding, support and beyond. When I see franchisees hitting their student number milestones or sharing supporting
testimonials from families, it feels really wonderful knowing how happy it makes our new Principals.
