New recruits join Razzamataz: one of the UK’s top franchise businesses
Five new franchisees join Razzamataz Theatre Schools as it celebrates being announced as one of the UK’s top franchise opportunities. For the third consecutive year, Razzamataz has been placed in the prestigious Elite Franchise Top 100 (EF100).
Careers in franchising
The franchise industry contributes over £17billion to the UK economy and more than 700,000 people are employed in franchising across the country. Despite a difficult economic climate, the last 12 months has seen franchise brands like Razzamataz survive and thrive thanks to their robust infrastructures and proven business models.
EF100 showcases the very best of entrepreneurial Britain and celebrates the most dynamic, innovative, and successful franchises in the UK. During 2020, 11 new franchisees joined the Razzamataz network and many existing Principals have exciting expansion plans.
“At EF100 we take into account entrants’ sales and growth figures as well as the training and support systems in place for their network of franchisees,” says Scott English, Brand Director of Elite Franchise. “This year, brands were also judged on any measures they initiated to survive the challenges of 2020, along with ambitions and growth targets for the next financial year. Achieving this position is a testament to all that Razzamataz has achieved – they have consistently demonstrated a gold-standard level of franchising.”
Expanding the network
One of the things that Razzamataz is most proud of is how many former teachers and students are now playing a bigger part in the Razzamataz network, even becoming franchisees. Joining us now are former teacher and mum of two Rebecca Jagger, Principal of Razzamataz Plymouth, former staff members Esme Tutill and James Pennell are the new Principals at Razzamataz Newcastle, Hollie Pickup, former student and teacher is taking over at Razzamataz York and Felicity Clifton will be joining her sister Jessica who owns Razzamataz Brentwood and Hornchurch as they expand further into Essex.
“It is wonderful to be welcoming our latest recruits, especially as we near the end of this very difficult year,” explains Denise Hutton-Gosney, MD and Founder of Razzamataz. “As a network, we have all stuck together and have not only survived, but have actually grown in numbers, both in terms of students and new franchisees. We also have lots of exciting new initiatives planned for 2021 so we are definitely ending this year on a positive note.”
Hear from our franchisees
Razzamataz has quickly adapted to the challenges of Covid and has taken its Discovery Dens and training online, proving highly successful as Rebecca Jagger, Principal of Razzamataz Plymouth explains: “Just wanted to say how fantastic the training has been. It is so thorough and although overwhelming at times, Charlotte and the team have made it so relaxed and fun. I have a lot to digest but am feeling on a high. So excited to start this journey with Razzamataz. Thank you for giving me this opportunity and allowing me to join the Razz Family.”
