Person Specification
Essential Criteria:
• Experience of and a passion for working with children and young people
• Demonstrable passion for the performing arts
• Strong musical ability and understanding of dance techniques
• Strong ability to create performances with young performers
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to inspire and motivate students
• Willingness to collaborate with other teachers and staff
• Adaptability to tailor teaching methods to individual student needs
• Commitment to Razzamataz’s values and ethos
Desirable Criteria:
• Qualifications in performing arts, dance, teaching
• Evidence of commitment to continuing professional development
• Professional performance credits
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver engaging dance lessons for students aged 4-18, covering both musical theatre and pop styles
• Foster a positive and supportive learning environment
• Encourage creativity, confidence, and self-expression
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the overall student experience
• Participate in termly staff development meetings
• Maintain safeguarding standards (annual training provided)
• Contribute to student performances and showcases
