With a capacity of 2,800, the indigo at The 02 is one of London’s most iconic venues. It has hosted everything from the NME Awards to the legendary X Factor boot camp sessions and the British Comedy Awards.
This rock star venue has got to be one of the most exciting places to perform and now a theatre school franchise is offering its students a chance to grace its stage.
Razzamataz Theatre Schools, a part-time network of almost 50 schools across the UK, will be hosting a gala performance at the indigo at The 02 on Sunday 18th November 2018. For many seasoned professionals, performing at The 02 will be the pinnacle of their career, so the opportunity to be able to offer this for children and teenagers is incredible.
“We are delighted to announce the news to our students and their families and are excited to take this journey together,” says Denise Hutton-Gosney, MD and Founder of Razzamataz. “As a theatre school franchise, we are constantly striving to find new ways of giving our students unique opportunities that they will remember for the rest of their lives. We really believe that performing at the indigo at The 02 will be a special event and a memory that they will treasure.”
Although this will be a large-scale event, involving many people to co-ordinate, Razzamataz is no stranger to offering these wonderful opportunities. In the past, students have performed at Her Majesty’s Theatre in London’s West End and this year, rehearsals are in full swing for the show teams to appear in Disneyland Paris.
“It is really important to us to be able to offer children and their families the very best service that we can, which includes excellent training in dance, drama and singing, as well as really exciting opportunities,” says Denise. “This includes not just large scale events but also getting involved with performing for the local community, supporting charity events through performance and students being recognised for their commitment at Awards Ceremonies.”
Razzamataz offers a wide range of performing arts styles for children with classes in dance, drama and singing. Students experience various genres from classic West End musical theatre through to pop singing and street dance. In all sessions, the emphasis is on having fun and bringing out the creativity and unique potential in each and every student.
There are almost 50 part-time Razzamataz schools up and down the UK with Principals coming from a wide range of backgrounds, achieving successful businesses that fit flexibly around their lifestyles.
Being part of a franchise with links to established and respected names in the performing arts world has enabled many people to launch their own successful theatre schools. Principals can succeed in business without having any prior experience, thanks to the support and training they receive at Razzamataz and include teachers, stay at home parents and retired performers.
To find out if franchising is the right option, the Head Office run Discovery Den days across the UK where potential franchisees get a chance to meet the team, find out more about franchising in general and discover what it is like to run a part-time theatre school.
