The world has changed dramatically since Razzamataz Theatre Schools first opened its doors in 2000. The rise of social media, increased screen time, and the challenges brought to light by the pandemic have all reshaped the landscape in which young people are growing up.
In response, Razzamataz is proud to unveil a fresh and exciting rebrand, ensuring that they remain not just relevant but essential in supporting children and young people today and into the future. In fact, the new hashtag and strapline is ‘Creating Confident Futures.’
Over the past 25 years, Razzamataz has witnessed firsthand how performing arts education offers so much more than just singing, dancing, and acting. The schools provide a vital platform for building confidence, developing resilience, and equipping young people with the soft skills they need to thrive at school, in their future careers, and in life, regardless of whether they choose to enter the performing arts industry professionally. Through teamwork, communication, and perseverance, students gain essential life skills that allow them to navigate challenges, collaborate effectively, and express themselves with confidence.
With social media now a dominant force in young people’s lives, many are spending more time on screens and less time engaging in real-world social interactions. At the same time, the pandemic has amplified concerns around children’s mental health, bringing the need for emotional support and safe spaces into sharper focus. More than ever, young people need environments where they can express themselves freely, navigate their emotions, and find their voice, and that is exactly what Razzamataz provides.
The new brand identity reflects this evolving mission. Razzamataz is not just a theatre school; they are a community that nurtures, empowers, and inspires. This is through creating spaces where children and young people feel safe to be themselves, explore their creativity, and develop the confidence to break through their own boundaries. Our experienced team of teachers and Principals will support them with their personal growth, ultimately shaping the leaders and innovators of the future.
Denise Gosney, Founder and MD of Razzamataz, shares her excitement about this new chapter: “Now more than ever, children and young people need a safe space to express themselves, build confidence, and develop key life skills. Our rebrand isn’t just about a fresh new look, it’s about ensuring that Razzamataz continues to be a
source of fun and opportunity for every child who walks through our doors. We are evolving with the times while staying true to our core mission of inspiring the next generation.”
This rebrand reaffirms Razzamataz promise to every child to continue to provide high-quality performing arts education while also focusing on the wellbeing, personal development, and emotional resilience of every student as this testimonial, typical of many parents shows: “Robyn has flourished during her time at Razzamataz. Our house is always alive with song, dance and dramatics, inspired by the current Razzamataz theme. The confidence and social development shown by Robyn since joining has come on in leaps and bounds. Thank you Principal India and the amazing team at Torbay.”
It’s not just about changing lives of students, Razzamataz go above and beyond in supporting their people, whether it’s team members, teachers or Principals. Ellese, a new Principal at Razzamataz Bath shares: “I’ve had such a good week at Franchise Training and have loved every minute of it! I’m so grateful for everything you and the
team have done for us and I feel so supported. Everyone that I’ve met is just so lovely and I can’t wait to begin.”
